Shop With Your Reusable Bags

Updated: Feb 26

Do more than recycle.

Use reusable bags when you shop.

Single-use plastic bags start as fossil fuels and end up as waste in landfills or incinerators, producing potent greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane, warming our planet and contributing to climate change.

Single-use plastic bags are also a deadly waste in the oceans. Birds, turtles, and fish mistake shredded plastic bags for food, filling their stomachs with toxic debris.

People also consume microplastics in food and in the air. It’s estimated that globally, people consume the equivalent of a credit card of plastic every week, and it’s expected that there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050.
